SILVER SPRING, MD - Although illness kept two-time all county catcher Emily Haislip (Blair) off the field, the Blazers kept the Blake Bengals cold most of the game while rallying a 6-3 win.

Three easy outs deflated Blake to open, and Blair had the momentum going into the 2nd inning after a base hit. Blake showed signs of promise but could not seem to get started past foul balls. The bottom of the 2nd was electrifying. After Blair's second batter walked on, a strong hit advanced her to third while Blake chased the out at first. She raced home, where Blake barely missed the tag.

Down 1-0, Blake would not bounce back until the 4th. They squeezed out a run but Blair closed the top of the inning with a double play and quickly racked up five runs after a perfect hit to midfield with runners on, which left Blake scrambling. Base hits gave Blake hope for a last minute comeback until a tag out at home. They continued to fight the odds, bringing two more runners home however the final inning ended quietly with Blair on top.
